Product · Payouts

Pay creators exactly once, exactly right.

Commissions wait out a hold, lock, and are paid in batches you approve. Every movement is a balanced journal in a double-entry ledger.

Lifecycle

Pending → approved → locked → paid.

  1. 01

    Pending

Earned on a paid period, waiting out the hold: 30 days by default, 0–365 configurable. A hold shorter than your refund window lets commissions lock before refunds can reverse them.

  2. 02

    Approved

Automatic for store-verified, deterministic and typed-code signals; owner approval for the rest.

  3. 03

    Locked

Hold passed, no high-severity fraud flag. From here it changes only through new, linked entries.

  4. 04

    Paid

Included in an approved batch and marked paid, or transferred through Stripe.

Refunds during the hold reverse the commission. Refunds after payment are netted against the creator’s next earnings, never pulled back from their bank account.

Batches

Monthly batches, two approvals above your limit.

Now: mark as paid

Proofline calculates, shows receipts and exports a CSV. You pay creators however you do today and mark the batch paid. No money passes through Proofline.

Next: Stripe Connect

Creators onboard through Stripe and receive transfers. One monthly invoice to you funds the batch; transfers go out once it’s paid.

Controls

Minimum payout, schedule and hold period. Batches above $1,000 (configurable) need a second approver.

Ledger

Money you can audit.

  • Integer minor units and an ISO currency on every amount. No floating-point money.
  • Every journal sums to zero in each currency, checked nightly.
  • At most one commission per store transaction, program and kind.
  • FX rates saved on the transaction date; creators paid in their own currency.

Tax

Tax forms where Stripe collects them.

With Stripe payouts, US creators give their tax details during onboarding. The US 1099-NEC threshold is $2,000 for payments made from 2026. Self-billing VAT invoices for UK and EU creators are planned. We will publish supported payout countries once each is confirmed.
