Superwall + Proofline
Proofline reads Superwall’s subscription webhooks, both the current V2 format and legacy ones, and verifies each delivery’s signature. The integration is in beta: it is built from Superwall’s documentation and has not yet been checked against a live Superwall account.
Setup
Four steps, about ten minutes.
- 01
Add a webhook endpoint in Superwall
In Superwall’s webhook integration, add an endpoint with your app’s Proofline URL. Superwall shows the endpoint’s signing secret once.
https://app.proofline.link/api/ingest/superwall/<appId>
- 02
Paste the signing secret into Proofline
Connect Superwall in your app’s integrations and paste the whsec_ secret. Proofline checks every delivery’s signature and rejects anything more than five minutes old.
- 03
Pass the Proofline user id as a user attribute
Set the Proofline end-user id as a Superwall user attribute, and identify the user with the same id you give Proofline.
proofline_end_user_id · proofline_creator_id · proofline_program_id
- 04
Make a sandbox purchase
Superwall has no test event, so buy in sandbox. A sandbox receipt appears in Proofline; sandbox purchases never earn commission.
What syncs
What Proofline reads.
- Initial purchases, trials and their conversion, renewals, refunds and one-time purchases
- Cancellations, uncancellations, expiry, billing issues and pauses
- Price in the purchase currency, with Superwall’s commission and tax percentages
- Store transaction ids and Apple’s app transaction id, so a purchase also seen by another source counts once
- Proofline user attributes; other attributes such as e-mail are dropped
Limits
- Beta: built from Superwall’s documentation, not yet verified against a live account.
- Rotating the secret in Superwall takes effect at once: paste the new one into Proofline at the same time.
- Custom stores are not settled. No backfill or reconciliation for Superwall yet.
- Stripe purchases reported by Superwall are ignored when Stripe is connected to Proofline directly.
